Amanda Kelly, NP

Amanda Kelly is a nurse practitioner/physician assistant, who has been practicing in San Francisco for the last fifteen years. She completed her nurse practitioner/physician assistant training at Stanford University and attained her bachelor’s in degree nursing, a certificate in public health, and a minor in theater at Humboldt State University. As an RN, Amanda worked in public health and hospice care, and has been working in internal medicine as an NP/PA since 2000. Amanda believes in supporting healthy lifestyle choices and has an interest in alternative, complimentary medicine. Amanda enjoys developing relationships with patients and finding ways to help people that are unique to the individual.
Amanda is married and the mother of two girls. She is a retired circus performer, she loves yoga, the outdoors and enjoys the local arts.
Cheri Forrester, MD

Dr. Cheri Forrester is a Board Certified family medicine physician who has been seeing patients in Mill Valley since 1985. The daughter of a rocket scientist, she grew up in southern California. Dr. Forrester won undergraduate Honors at the UC Santa Cruz, studied for two years at UCLA towards a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, and then graduated from Medical School at University of California in 1981. Dr. Forrester served her residency in a UCSF program at Valley Medical Center in Fresno before establishing her practice in Marin County.
Town and Country and America’s Top Doctors named Dr. Forrester one of America’s leading family physicians and San Francisco Magazine listed her as one of the Bay Area’s Outstanding Doctors. A readers’ poll by J voted her the best primary care physician in Northern California. U.S. News (2011) and Marin Magazine (2012) both selected Dr. Forrester as a “Top Doctor”. Conversant in Spanish, Dr. Forrester provides comprehensive primary care to children and adults. She has a special interest in adolescent health.
Dr. Forrester is a member of the Kol Shofar congregation and lives in Mill Valley with her husband, writer David Harris. She is committed to parenting and personal health, does volunteer work in the community, rows on Richardson Bay, hikes on Mt. Tam, swims, runs trails, practices yoga, and back-packs regularly.
Lawrence Posner, MD

While Dr. Posner has retired from the practice of medicine after a long and fulfilling career, he still works for Prima from time to time as a locum tenen.
Dr. Lawrence Posner received his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco before practicing in Marin County. Following a rotating internship in New York, general practice in the US Army Medical Corps in Paris, and pediatric training in London, he then completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF. Dr. Posner also took a brief dermatology rotation during his residency that proved tremendously beneficial to him and his patients over the years. He began his practice of medicine in Mill Valley in 1970, and over the course of his career, he provided patients with pediatric, general, internal and geriatric medical care.
Dr. Posner has a great love of the outdoors, especially the High Sierras, not to mention the byways and trails of Marin. He is an accomplished musician, and plays clarinet in the Marin Symphony. He thinks that he is funnier than his wife, but she disagrees.”
