Meet the Physicians

Barbara Finzen, MD

Specialty: Internal Medicine

Dr Barbara Finzen is a Board-Certified physician in Internal Medicine. She sees a spectrum of patients, from late adolescence through geriatrics. Her special interests include preventive medicine and geriatric medicine.

She attended Northwestern University on a National Merit Scholarship, and after graduating Phi Beta Kappa in an Honors’ three year degree program, she returned to her home city of Milwaukee to attend the Medical College of Wisconsin. She came to California in 1980 to do her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr Finzen was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians, and inducted into fellowship in a convocation ceremony at the national meeting of the College in San Francisco, CA in April 2013.

She has resided in Marin County since 1984. She has three grown children and enjoys hiking, tennis, and traveling with her husband.

 

Elizabeth Etemad, DO

Specialty: Family Medicine

Dr. Etemad is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. She holds an undergraduate degree is in Biology from Union College in Schenectady, New York.

After medical school she did a rotating internship at San Bernardino County Medical Center. She moved to Michigan to complete her family medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and since her return to California has been practicing family medicine in Sonoma and Marin counties.

She learned to speak Spanish as a high school exchange student to Panama. Areas of particular interest to her are women and children’s health, sports medicine, and adolescent medicine. She is skilled in osteopathic manual medicine.

 

Lesley Debrier, MD

Specialty: Family Medicine

Originally from Ohio, Dr. Debrier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her doctorate from University of Southern California Keck Medical School. She completed a Family Practice residency at Glendale Adventist Hospital in Glendale, California where she served as Chief Resident.

Before coming to Marin, Dr. Debrier was in private practice in Southern California for over ten years. She practices family medicine with a special interest in women’s health and children over the age of 6. She has a passion for preventive care, nutrition, and gynecology. She is experienced in hormone therapy and is supportive of alternative medicine and those patients who wish to integrate Western and Eastern medicine. Dr. Debrier is a community physician who is married and has two young children. She is a huge nature enthusiast and on weekends she enjoys camping, and digging in the dirt looking for bugs with her kids.

 

Tomas Kubrican, M.D., M.S.

Specialty: Family Medicine

Tomas Kubrican, MD earned his medical degree at Comenius University, Martin, Slovak Republic. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Kubrican earned a Master of Science degree from Marquette University.

He accepted a position with Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, where he practiced family medicine and obstetrics. Dr. Kubrican was also an attending physician for family medicine residents and has been active in mentoring medical students.

Dr. Kubrican’s scope of practice includes the management of common, acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages. He performs multiple small procedures in-office. Dr Kubrican is dedicated to providing a high level of care, while working closely with patients to achieve their health goals.
