Barbara Finzen, MD

Dr Barbara Finzen is a Board-Certified physician in Internal Medicine. She sees a spectrum of patients, from late adolescence through geriatrics. Her special interests include preventive medicine and geriatric medicine.
She attended Northwestern University on a National Merit Scholarship, and after graduating Phi Beta Kappa in an Honors’ three year degree program, she returned to her home city of Milwaukee to attend the Medical College of Wisconsin. She came to California in 1980 to do her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr Finzen was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians, and inducted into fellowship in a convocation ceremony at the national meeting of the College in San Francisco, CA in April 2013.
She has resided in Marin County since 1984. She has three grown children and enjoys hiking, tennis, and traveling with her husband.
Elizabeth Etemad, DO
Specialty: Family Medicine
Dr. Etemad is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. She holds an undergraduate degree is in Biology from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
After medical school, she did a rotating internship at San Bernardino County Medical Center. She moved to Michigan to complete her family medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and since her return to California has been practicing family medicine in Sonoma and Marin counties.
She learned to speak Spanish as a high school exchange student to Panama. Areas of particular interest to her are women and children’s health, sports medicine, and adolescent medicine. She is skilled in osteopathic manual medicine.
Molly Koehler, DO
Specialty: Family Medicine
Dr. Koehler is Board Certified in Family Medicine and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She focuses on preventative health and strives to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for her patients. Dr. Koehler speaks both English and Spanish.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from University of California, Davis, Dr. Koehler attended medical school at Touro University in Vallejo, California. She completed her residency training in Family and Preventative Medicine at University of California, San Diego, where she also served as Chief Resident. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, Dr. Koehler worked at the Venice Family Clinic, providing care for many of Los Angeles’ most underserved residents. She also worked at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group for before returning to Marin County with her husband and her two sons.
Dr. Koehler and her family are thrilled to be back in Marin. Outside the clinic, Dr. Koehler enjoys spending time with her family, on the Dipsea trail or at spin class.
Tomas Kubrican, MD, KS
Specialty: Family Medicine
Tomas Kubrican, MD earned his medical degree at Comenius University, Martin, Slovak Republic. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Kubrican earned a Master of Science degree from Marquette University.
He accepted a position with Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, where he practiced family medicine and obstetrics. Dr. Kubrican was also an attending physician for family medicine residents and has been active in mentoring medical students.
Dr. Kubrican’s scope of practice includes the management of common, acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages. He performs multiple small procedures in-office. Dr Kubrican is dedicated to providing a high level of care in Marin County, while working closely with patients to achieve their health goals.
Loree Skidmore, NP
Loree Skidmore is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner with 28 years of experience primarily in family practice but including student, women’s and occupational health, as well as inpatient psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree at UCSF, and has special interests in women’s health, teens and mental health. When she isn’t working in the clinic, Loree teaches at Sonoma State’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program and supervises students at a Santa Rosa homeless clinic.
Loree has been with her husband for 25 years. She lives in Novato and has a 21 year old daughter who will graduate from college in New York in Spring 2017. In her free time she hikes, bikes, gardens, does yoga and loves to travel.
Merri Martori, NP
Merri Martori is a board certified nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor of science degree in Nursing from the University of San Francisco. Following this she attended UCSF, where she earned her graduate degree as well as her nurse practitioner certification in Adult Health and Internal Medicine. In addition to these degrees, Merri earned an M.B.A. in Organizational Management in Health Care Systems from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
In 1996, Ms. Martori founded the Marin Nurse Practitioner Association and served as its director until 2003. The organization was highly instrumental in placing respected, competent nurse practitioners in local private practices.
Prior to joining Prima Medical Group, Ms. Martori worked at Kaiser in South San Francisco and later, Kaiser in San Rafael, in the Department of Ambulatory Medicine. Following this, Ms. Martori provided care in the private practices of Drs. David Ogden, Robert Perrin and Lawrence Posner.
Merri is a pianist who studied with Maestro Antonio Itturioz, Cuban Concert Pianist, composer and filmmaker. In her free time, Merri enjoys playing the piano and listening to classical music and the standards of the 1940’s. She has lived in Marin since 1973 and has been a resident of Novato since 1976.
