Benjamin Stahl, MD

Dr. Benjamin Stahl attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate education. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Cellular Biology. Following, he attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and went on to complete General Surgery residency at the University of Louisville. Dr. Stahl has recently relocated to Marin to begin a practice in broad based general and acute care surgery. His philosophy emphasizes a collaborative and comprehensive approach to patient centered care. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, and music.
Edward Alfrey, MD
Specialty: General Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Pancreatic Surgery
Dr. Alfrey is a Board Certified General Surgeon and the Medical Director of Prima Medical Group’s General Surgery program in Marin. After completing his B.A. in Chemistry at the University of Denver, Dr. Alfrey earned his M.D. at the University of Colorado and completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Alfrey also did a Fellowship in Transplantation, an area he has a special interest in. He later earned his Master’s degree in Health Care Management at Harvard University and studied Advanced Laproscopic Surgery at UCSF.
Dr. Alfrey came to Prima from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he was a Professor of Surgery for 6 years, prior to which we was a Professor of Surgery at Penn State University (5 years) and Stanford University (9 years). Dr. Alfrey is looking forward to providing the residents of Marin with a high quality inpatient and outpatient General Surgery program.
James G. Minnis, MD
Specialty: Critical Care, General Surgery
Dr. Minnis completed his Fellowship training in Critical Care at Stanford University before he came to Prima Medical Group in Marin. He did his Surgical Residency at Southern Illinois University and earned his Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Minnis also has a Master’s in Public Health from University of Southern California.
