Alexander R. Evens, DO

Dr. Evens is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. He received his medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the UC Irvine Medical Center.
He serves on several medical committees, is an infectious disease consultant to hospitals in Marin and Stanislaus Counties and serves as an adjunct instructor at Touro University and Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, Dr. Evens practices at the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services, where he uses his expertise in a multi-specialty clinic which provides care for patients with HIV, hepatitis C, tuberculosis, and sexually-transmitted diseases.
Dr. Evens lives in San Rafael and enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and two children.
Gregg Tolliver, MD
Specialty: Infectious Disease
Dr. Gregg Tolliver grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended college at University of California San Diego. He went to University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. During medical school, he travelled and studied extensively in Central America, and became fluent in Spanish. He also worked in Pakistan on a medical anthropology scholarship.
For residency training, Dr. Tolliver relocated to the Boston area and completed a Primary Care Internal Medicine residency at The Cambridge Hospital. He then attended Harvard School of Public Health with a focus on International Health. Under the guidance of the well-known infectious disease physician Dr. Paul Farmer, Dr. Tolliver worked with Partners In Health in Mexico. Dr. Tolliver then completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center.
In 2004, Dr. Tolliver relocated to Marin where has practiced Infectious Diseases in a variety of settings including Novato Community Hospital, Kentfield Rehabilitation Hospital, San Quentin infirmary, the Thomas Steele Clinic, and Marin General Hospital. Dr. Tolliver enjoys working with patients from all means and walks of life. He enjoys assisting the physician community in Marin with infectious disease cases. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he also assists the Infection Control Departments of Marin General Hospital and Novato Community Hospital as well as teaching hospital staff.
Dr. Tolliver lives in San Rafael and enjoys hiking and biking in Marin with his wife and two young boys.
