Prima Pediatric Office 2009 Flu Shot Clinics

Flu shots are for any child older than 6 months old. If your child is between 6 months and 8 years old and this is the first year they are getting a flu vaccine, your child will require a booster 4 weeks after the initial shot. For the H1N1, if your child is under 10 years of age, your child will require a booster 3-4 weeks after the initial shot.

Based on current guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), our pediatricians ARE RECOMMENDING the seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccines for children 6 months and older.

We are currently booking flu clinic appointments based on the availability of our vaccines. If you are currently on our waiting list we will call you in the order your call was received as our flu shipments arrive. For those patients who require boosters (under age 9 for seasonal flu and under age 10 for H1N1 flu), we will notify you and offer the vaccines as our supply becomes available. We will continue to schedule flu clinics during regular weekday office hours and some Saturdays. If you receive a call from our office and are still interested in the flu vaccines, please call our office as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

Please feel free to visit marinflu.org for h1n1 vaccine availability. The county has had some flu clinics in the past and future clinics are to be determined.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding during this very challenging flu shot season.
