Dr. Sally Boero was born and raised in Marin. Dr. Boero was born at Marin General Hospital and feels it is her destiny to deliver babies at MGH. After graduating from Redwood High School, she attended U.C. Davis where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology. After finishing at Davis, Dr. Boero worked at UCSF as a research assistant studying Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and applied to medical school. Dr. Boero matriculated with the class of 1996 at UCLA Medical School the following year where she hoped to specialize in women’s health care. She completed her Internship and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California, San Diego. From there Dr. Boero spent three years in Boulder, Colorado working for Kaiser, where she became Board Certified in 2003. Later that year, Dr. Boero migrated back to Marin.
Dr. Boero worked with Obstetric and Gynecological Associates of San Francisco out of California Pacific Medical Center from 2003 to 2005. In 2005 with the help of Dr. Gerald Wilner, she opened a private practice of her own in Larkspur – a career long goal. Her practice was busy and growing, but she was dealing with fertility issues of her own, so she left her practice in February of 2008 to start a family. She is happy to have achieved her family goals and now return to practice refreshed and excited to take care of women and their families. Dr. Boero looks forward to re-uniting with former patients and meeting new ones. She feels very privileged to have landed among the dedicated group of doctors at Prima.
